It was Mormon Night at the Padres (yes, they really have that) which meant that us Mormons could get cheap tickets to go to the game. So Tyler decided to take Max to his first baseball game ever. Tyler found some cheap sweat bands at Target and wrapped them up so Max could open them. The game happened to be on the same day as his birthday party. Max was beyond excited when he unwrapped them and then we told him he was going to get to go with daddy to a real game! He LOVES sports. He loves to watch them, learn about them, play them.
Tyler said he really liked watching and being there and that he asked loads of questions (no surprise there!) He kept showing off his sweat bands and said that after the game he could pretend they were his superhero wrist walkie talkies and launch buttons.
He even told Tyler that if the Padres scored again he could get cotton candy. Sadly the Padres never scored again but Max did convince Tyler to get the cotton candy!
He even got to see a home run! I think it's so fun he got to go with Tyler to watch the game. He's already asking when he can go back again!
And bonus: he can now use the sweat bands as superhero talking devices or to power his superjets.
