And so it begins...

The day we've been anticipating for 5 years now has finally come! Tyler has started his 3rd year of med school today! In case you are all wondering why this is so important or notable -- 3rd year is pretty much the most important year in medical school training. It's the year where Tyler will rotate through most medical specialties, learning, taking call, having frequent exams that must be aced (literally) without having a lot of time to study, all while making sure he sees his kids and eats 3 meals a day! Ask any med student and it's a pretty dang stressful year.

Luckily, the kids and I aren't worried about him. We know he'll do amazing as he always does! And we'll be fine with less of daddy around. We'll miss him so so much (in the words of Lia) but thankfully the kids are older and easier to handle! Will there be rough days for us? SURE! But we'll survive! And at the end of this year we'll be one step closer to NOT being students anymore!!! Woo!

So good luck Tyler! But you don't need it!

Funny that I read about Max's first baseball game with his Dad and I remembered a young Tyler who was sure he was going to be a professional baseball player. Then I see Tyler all grown up and being a doctor. I could not be prouder of my little guy all grown up. What a blessing to be part of it all along the way.
