We got to spend the day at the beach with our awesome friends, the Littles, who were visiting from Tennessee! I can't tell you how good it was to see them. It was like seeing family you hadn't seen for a long long time. We miss them so so much.
Brooke and I spent a few more days at the beach after that before the weather got un-beachy again. Danielle joined us for one of the days and we built a spectacular swimming hole/pool for the kids.
It was deep. This is after the waves had washed a lot of sand back into it. But it was waist deep on Lia.
I was kind of sulking about the summer weather we've had this year but actually I got a pretty good tan that's almost faded now and it hasn't been all that bed. At least it hasn't been hot! I just wish we could have had some more beach days. I'm guessing October is going to be miserable to make up for the lack of summer so maybe we won't have to fight tourists for parking spots when we want to go then!
