Why are they dead mom?

We dyed eggs with Max before our big Easter Egg Hunt and Max was a little confused by the wording. He doesn't understand what being dead is, but he understands that something can be dead so he kept wondering why the eggs were dead. I tried to explain to him that we were coloring eggs, not dyeing them. The explanation was lost. Oh well. He still had fun!
