Nothing says winter in San Diego like a trip to the beach!

Yes. We went to the beach last weekend. Because it was about 80 degrees. In March. I know. I should say we are very lucky, but really, I could do without the heat this early in the year. Anyway, we took Max and Lia down to La Jolla Shores to play in the sand.





It was Lia's first time to the beach and she did pretty good. She actually really enjoyed the sand on her toes and didn't even flinch at the freezing cold water.







Max of course did his usual running around like a crazy man and making everyone around him crack up. I think people think it's really funny too see such a little guy running around and acting like a big kid. Most people guess he is a lot younger than he really is because of his size (well, except for the occasional crazy person who tells me he's HUGE for his age).



If you look closely in these pictures you can see that both of his feet are off the ground. He loves to run!
