Lia's Dance Recital!

Lia finally had her dance recital and it was ADORABLE! She looked so so cute dressed up like Minnie Mouse. All the little girls did! And they did a GREAT job with their dance all by themselves. They were on a real stage at the Starlight Theater in Oceanside. We weren't allowed to photograph or video on the day of the recital but we got to do all we wanted during the dress rehearsal the day before.

I'm pretty sure Lia is glad dance class is over, but in the end she had a really fun time and really liked doing the performance. She took it very seriously and I made sure to remind her to smile for the real performance. She also got to wear real makeup for the first time. After I put it all on her she looked in the mirror and said, "OOOOO!! I LOOK LIKE A MASTERPIECE!!!" And later on in the car she said that makeup makes her feel pretty and her brain smart. If you have to wear makeup I guess that's a good attitude to have about it!

Max was pretty proud of his little sister! He kept saying how great she did and he had a huge smile on his face after the show for her. The show didn't end until almost seven and she was a little tired and hungry, hence the grumpy face, but really she was happy and excited!
