Lia's three year photos were taken in Old Town one morning with just the two of us. She was so happy to just spend some time with me snapping photos and getting some popcorn and white soda (sprite) afterwards helped a lot.

NO-Kids Allowed Date Night
Thanks to a quick little visit from Grammie and a lucky weekend off for Tyler from the craziness of third year Tyler and I got to go on a date together to our favorite restaurant, Ariana Kebab House. It was nice to sit and chat with Tyler without interruptions or tantrums. I sure do love this guy, even after all these years.

Mani/Pedi Thanksgiving!
This year for Thanksgiving my mom and little sister Mattie came and we had turkey and all the fixings right in our little apartment. It was so nice having my mom here and the food came out delicious!! And of course I didn't take a single picture of any of that!
But... I DID take LOTS of pictures of Lia's first ever manicure and pedicure!! As one of her birthday presents we told her she could get her nails done with me so while my mom was here we had a girls day and got everyone in to the salon for pedicures and manicures! My mom, Mattie Rose, Danielle, me and Lia all piled in and got pampered. It was Mattie's first time, too! They were both in HEAVEN. It was the most adorable thing in the world to watch. Lia was so so so happy, beaming the whole time. And Mattie felt so grown up! It was such a fun thing to do.

Lia picked a bright shade of blue for her toes and a sparkly shade of green for her fingers. Funny girl!
And afterwards we had our first encounter of the year with Santa. Max and Lia were a little apprehensive about going up to sit on his lap. But when they saw that Mattie was game, they followed right behind her. Lia told him she wanted a great big HUGE giraffe and Max said he wanted legos. They were kind of in awe of him and took him very seriously.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
Our spunky, sassy, sweet, bossy, crazy, grumpy, happy little girl turned 3. It's hard for me to even think about really. The day of her birth and bringing her home from the hospital are moments that are still so fresh in my mind. Her little personality shined through from the instant she decided when she wanted to be born (she was scheduled to be born via cesarean the day after her actual birthday, but she had her own plans, obviously). She's filled a spot in our family that was definitely made for her and continues to exude so much personality that we're afraid, at times, that she might just explode.
She's too smart for her own good sometimes. She's definitely our defiant child. She cares a whole lot less about getting into trouble than her brother does. She's a sweetheart when she wants to be and a diva at others. She loves taking baths. She loves her brother. She loves villains (her favorites include Randal from Monster's Inc. and Shen from Kung Fu Panda II). She loves the park, the beach, sushi, noodles and anything that's salty and crunchy.
She's the perfect for our little family and we love her to pieces!
Thanks to amazing grandparents and aunts and uncles Lia got lots and lots of birthday presents. I didn't realize how difficult getting presents for her would be with her birthday so close to Christmas. She got her beloved Jesse and Bullseye doll, new clothes, accessories for her dolls and lots of other things that if I start to name I'm sure I'll mix up with Christmas presents. For lunch she picked happy meals and for dinner she of course picked sushi. She had a wonderful and went to bed sweet and happy and three!
